Drop Shipping is by far one of the best side hustles you can start in this day and age. It's a proven business model which has actually been around since the 1960s that's made people just like you well over six figures in the past decade. But if you're a beginner to drop shipping or have tried Drop Shipping in the past and have had little to no sales, you might want to stick around for this video because I'm going to reveal exactly what you might be doing wrong that's stopping you from making the big bucks. And trust me, some of these mistakes are so silly you won't even believe it.
Now, if you're anything like me, and you tried setting up a Shopify store and running ads to it, and you ended up putting your PayPal into the minus numbers, let me help you out here, okay? Because I genuinely gave Drop Shipping a shot back in 2021 when I'd lost my job due to the pandemic. And I tell you, I spent a whole week designing the store, I spent so many sleepless nights just editing my ads, and in total I made a whopping 272 dollars in six months. Now I'm not even going to tell you how much I spent on ads because I was seriously in the minor Zone when it came down to profits so I did what anyone would do I quit. I decided to just stick to what I was best at and continue making money with affiliate marketing until I started using TikTok.
So first and foremost, if you can't really tell what I'm getting at, you need to find a good supplier. There's so many suppliers out there that you probably used or that you've heard of such as USA drop Zen drop and sell who. But what I personally recommend is spocket. Now the first time I ever heard of spocket was through none other than the econ King himself, and since then this is the only supplier I use. Not only does it have super Speedy shipping which is going to overall reduce your chargeback and refund rate and also entice customers to actually buy in the first place. It also helps me find winning products that are good quality because spocket actually does quality checks before they even put the products on their site. And another thing that I found out when I joined the Pro Plan is that I could also have the option of adding my branded in invoicing which meant that my store had an overall more cohesive and authentic feel. Think about it's better to have an invoice that actually has your logo inside than having these packages arrive with Chinese writing all over them and inside them, which is usually a dead giveaway that is a Drop Shipping Store. Without rambling about how great Spocket is you can actually try it for yourself because they do have a free plan so I'll be sure to leave that down in the description.
So moving into the next tip that increased my sales, this one is a really small tweak but really says a lot about how humans work and that tip is, offer free shipping. Now listen to this: all I did was change my items from let's say 22.99 plus three dollars shipping to 25.99 with free shipping. All you have to do is add the shipping cost into the cost of the item and offer free shipping. That's literally all you have to do. People hate seeing shipping costs because, to be honest, it looks like an unnecessary expense. I'm guilty of it and you're probably guilty of it too. Like I've made entire orders on a site where my basket will come up to 500 plus and when I see that little six dollar shipping I get so irritated because in my head I'm like, I could have bought a whole other item with the shipping price. Trust me when I say offering fast and free shipping is going to put you way ahead of your competitors and it's gonna seriously boost yourselves.
And now, I've saved the best for last because I'm 100% sure that this tip alone is exactly what doubled my sales and that is to abuse the discounts if they abandon car. Now let me explain. So when you start Drop Shipping and your website is designed well enough, your descriptions are good, your products are good you'll find that you'll still get a lot of people that will just put the products in their cart and not actually check out. What I'm guessing happens is that they want to make the purchase but let's say their wallet is too far away and they can't be able to get up in that moment in time and they just simply forget to come back and buy the product. So what do they do, they forget about the product and never return to your site again. Now if you're not remarketing to these people what are you even doing get out there and offer them a discount right now I'm being so serious like as soon as I started this slightly aggressive marketing strategy I know it's like my conversions increase like crazy because these people were so close to making that initial purchase because it was basically like an Impulse buyer but all they really needed was that extra push. So listen what you're gonna do is 10 minutes after they've left their basket you're gonna send them an email with a 10% discount typically this works perfectly they'll make the purchase but there will be the odd few that are a little bit stubborn and they need that actual push so then what you're going to do after two hours is email them again with a 15% discount and lastly what you're going to do is send a final email literally labeled this is your last chance and offer them a 25% discount. This is gonna work like an absolute charm and apart from me seeing success with it I know this because I've fallen for this countless times when I've done shopping online and it's crazy because I know this trick through obviously all my years of doing affiliate marketing and the psychology of selling to people but get I still fall for it every single time.
